This is an awesome and more versatile product than you'd think. I bought it for traveling and having more space for makeup, but my husband liked it for space to use as a hub for all those electronic charging things you must have now – you know – battery charger, usb charger, travel converter, etc.. And then I used it in the hotel bathroom for extra space to put my auto-toothbrush and various toiletry items. Fold it to the size you need, and this becomes a must-have item that takes little room in your suitcase. They accidently sent me the bright pink ones (yuk) twice before getting my order correct and sending me black. Brown or burnt orange would be a great alternate color since so most makeup and electronics come in black and black-on-black would be less ideal to see what you've got on the matt. Otherwise — Bravo!!

Like how compact when put away but perfect size when in use. It could be a little sturdier, but does the job!

Very flimsy would be a great product if it were made of better quality material

This product is a bit expensive in my opinion but worth it. I travel and do not have a vanity in my bathroom or cabinets in there. I use this product on my sink and I can do my makeup hair, my kids hair easily. It folds up nicely and is easy to wipe clean. Great product!

My countertop is 36 ¼ inches across. My husband and I bought our dream house 26 years ago; we were so excited and I overlooked the very small bathroom. When we remodeled a few years back, I purposely did not center the sink–which gave me more room on the left side, but it still left a lot to be desired. After watching Shark Tank last week, I saw “the Matte” and made the purchase. I am so satisfied, what a simple way to make my sink a countertop! It’s sturdy and very simple to use with a lot more space and no more dropping makeup and other things in the sink.

Perfect for traveling when hotel bathroom sink space is at a minimum. Ideal for visits to our family’s boat, which has very limited space in the bathroom. It would also work in RV’s and at camping sites, where there are communal showers and just a sink. Folds into a small, flat size that is easily packed in a large purse or tote. Holds cosmetics and hair appliances without bending or sagging.

I am revising my review. Initially, I gave this product 5 stars. I purchased this product in the first place because I have minimal counter space in my bathroom, and I do not have room for a vanity. In addition, putting on makeup is challenging because I barely have anywhere to put my makeup while I put it on, and so much collects in front of my makeup holder that I can't open the drawers to get more out. Finally, the other day I had a thought and wondered if anyone had made something to cover a sink to give additional counter space. A quick Amazon search led me to this product and a few similar ones. I chose this one because I liked that there wasn't a gap anywhere, therefore, taking away the risk to have makeup fall into the sink.
My revision: I agree with some of the reviewers that this product seems cheaply made. I am not sure what it is made out of, perhaps some type of cardboard with a cheap material that scratches easily. The FIRST time I put this on my sink because my faucet must hang lower than some, it scratched the matte, or the scratch was already there when I got it, and I didn't notice since the matte is black. Like another reviewer noted, maybe we both got a bad batch, but the flap overlaps the fold, so it cannot be opened to lay flat. So it bows in the middle, making it unstable and unable to hold makeup properly. Also, makeup is not heavy; therefore, it won't hold it down with that weight.
Furthermore, I think the only reason I could have my matte lay flat when I placed it on my sink IS because my faucet is so low, providing stability the product itself cannot. However, for a $35 price point, I do not want to give credit to my sink for making a product perform the way it is supposed to perform on its own. I plan on moving soon or traveling, and I do not want a product to be good based on how low the faucet hangs. Did it solve my problem? The only thing it did was It covered my sink and provided me with more counter area. However, I could do that by buying a cutting board at this point. It does not solve my small counter space problem since it is unstable, bows and does not lay flat, and is only as good as the sink that it's on. Good idea, but I will find a better product.
